It is so important to make sure that everything is at its best before altering any parameters.
There is very little possibility of repairing your van by asking for suggestions on here.
You may just get lucky, but really the vehicle needs to be viewed by someone who is capable of looking at live data, to see what’s wrong.
As your van appears to have a DPF, this could well be blocked, but generally the Ecu wil tell you.
You really must get the van diagnosed & get some information ,before throwing more parts at it.

I had 2 vans remapped at the same time, the other was empty as it is only used to small jobs, this particular one is always fully loaded and just the right side of legal weight limit, we all put the slowness down to it only being 75bhp and very heavily loaded. The chap did say it didn’t feel right, it was me that said to go ahead and see what happens. The remap was done 6 months ago, the DPF and ELOYS issue isn’t a recent issue which I am looking into tomorrow. Wasn’t looking for a fix from people as without seeing it they can’t pin point the fault, was looking for suggestions on where I should be looking, someone else may of had similar issues to me. There isn’t much more to look at tbh now, the DPF really, if the Turbo is done that isn’t an issue as it will be getting replaced with a billeted unit soon.

I get your drift, but still need some diagnostic info, it could be a slightly open EGR valve, which would loose your boost.
Best 1st to look at the DPF back pressure.

(May be wrong here and it's the other way round) but if so, that would force max boost, probably result in overboost and limp mode after that but it may prove whether the boost control solenoid is allowing boost to build or just letting it go through the wastegate instead.
The Partner van I have had a vacuum tube, the Berlingo seems to have a different mechanism, it seems to have some sort of solenoid that pulls the wastegate lever over, which it is doing as far as I can see from watching it, it takes about 1.5 seconds from the engine starting.

Ok so you have direct solenoid control of the boost via wastegate. Does the wastegate close over when you try to pull boost. I know this won't be easy to tell, as not much boost happens without load, but get someone to watch the lever and rev it up to about 3k briskly and see if it pushes the lever back to the staring position, as the wastegate closes with the engine off so it should go to that position under boost and start to creep open as required boost level is approached.

Scientific method as Mark says, is to have Lexia / DiagBox connected to get data.

Start to log boost and so on, then go for a bit of a drive and do a full 3rd gear pull from 1500 rpm, check requested boost Vs actual boost (log both) and you'll soon see what is happening. Log fuel pressure too. Should be about 300 bar at idle going to maybe 1800 bar under full load. Airflow should be over 400 at idle (do these numbers sound right Mark?)

If you don't have Lexia 3 then I'd look into that if I were you. You should be able to read differential pressure across the DPF, soot load and oil ash levels etc.

Hi

I will be back out to it tomorrow and will plug the OBD tool in and have a look.

I will have a look at it tomorrow. I haven’t got a Lexia but I have got a Foxwell NT301 OBD2 fault code scanner and reset tool if that is any good.

Yeah you need to go to live data and find the items I mentioned, you can view live data stream and save but you can't put different data streams alongside each other - that's the only drawback on the NT (I have the NT530 and Lexia) whereas on Lexia / DiagBox you can tick data from various things and record them together, but doing some testing by viewing things one by one may help.

Hi

Sorry for delayed response, I typed a reply yesterday but I must have forgotten to tap ‘post reply’ as I have just realised there is no response to your suggestion.

I will have a look at what fault codes are showing today.

Thanks Zion

Having to delay until tomorrow to check, my son cant make it over today. Give you an update when we have more data. Tanks
