[Engine] Diesel Injectors - more bhp required
#1
Hi All

I have a couple of vans, a 2012 Berlingo that I have a low Turbo Pressure issue with at the moment and a 2007 Partner which is running well again. They have both been remapped to 115bhp; however, I want to get them both higher, I have found a company that sells billeted Turbo for them that are good for up 170bhp, the remap chap will remap it again for free if he can post it on his Facebook page, seems like a fair deal to me. The problem is the standard Injectors of the 75bhp Berlingo and the 90bhp Partner wont allow much more than they are presently at (115bhp), I have heard that there are larger injectors available that will fit both vans but the chap thought they might be from a Ford. Does anyone know if Citroen / Peugeot do larger Injectors and if so do you know the model number or the vehicle they are fitted into, failing that does anyone know which Ford / Volvo / etc vehicle that used the 1.6 Diesel engine have the bigger injectors in them. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Kind Regards

Hi tom
I would contact the maker of the new turbo for information, I would of thought he would supply it as a bolt on kit, you also may need a bigger intercooler to cope with the extra heat that will be generated

The higher 115 BHP Berlingo & Partner engines use different injectors & vnt turbos, not sure how much more you can get out of them though.

You can get the bigger Turbo andInjector models up to about 140 / 145 bhp. Not sure what you could get using their injectors with the billeted Turbo though. I didn’t know if anyone in the forum had done further than the 140 / 145 remap though.

Hi Mark. Will do, hopefully they will either know the part number or what vehicle they are usually found in. The chap that does the remap knows which Intercooler I will need, he did say what it is but I can’t remember, it will be him that installs the Turbo and Injectors so he will replace the Intercooler at the same time.
