Fuel pipe connector to filter housing
#1
Does anyone know what the connector is called that connects to the fuel pipe from the tank to the fuel inlet on the filter housing?  It has a blue and green 'O' rings on it.  I've been getting air in my fuel system for a while and have finally got round to having a proper look and this connector is weeping diesel past the o rings when the primer is pumped.  I'm guessing I'll need a new one or am I ok just to replace the o rings?

Yeah once these connectors get old and brittle they can go a bit funny. Give it a good pull just to make sure that it is locked onto the filter housing because i've been bitten by it before (Kia mind you) where the clip had gotten weak and was allowing the pipe to fall of the filter housing when you pulled it down or off. IF the seals are cheap then i would go a head and try that first, failing that it might be time to change the pipes. Hope this helps.

Use Nitrile o rings if you change them as they are immune to fuel and solvents. Rubber ones are not and diesel will destroy them. Nitrile ones are mostly green but not always if aftermarket. After being in for a long time then getting disturbed, they get squared off on the outer diameter and don't seal well once reinserted.
