[Steering & Suspension] Homemade suspension drop links / anti roll links

2010 Berlingo XTR diesel.

Suspension rattle is driving me crazy. 
The drop / anti roll links are shot again I only changed them 10,000 miles ago, this seems to be an annual job. 

I know there not expensive or hard to change but it drives me mad and annoys me that they don't last. 

What I'm asking is basically has anyone made there own ? Basic rose joints and threaded bar would do the job or anything similar ? 

I'm sure they would be much tougher and last ?

Suggestions or ideas ? 

What have you done or what drop links do you recommend that are good quality?

Ive always brought manufacturers parts or well known makers drop links as over the years buying cheap ones are a waste of time.

Genuine or Lemforder ones will last longer than that.
We have become embarrassed by the poor quality copy ones, so don’t fit them anymore, as you say they need replacing annually
