Heater blower resistor install

Hi guys 

Had no fan except on 4 where I understand the heater blower motor resistor is 
By passed hence why it works. So I’ve replaced it which the fan was set to 4 when I 
Installed however now the speeds have been reversed so 4 is slow and 1 is fast 2 and 3 act like 
Speed 1. I’m guessing there’s a sequence to install which I didn’t follow can anyone shed some light on this. ( by the way the relay under the glove box was also replaced if this makes a difference)

It's a tapped resistor and it sounds like you have it wired backwards.

Im Just confused as you can hopefully you can see in the photo attached there is only one way to put the block connector in resistor...

Ok I see, so it can't be flipped round? Where did you get the new part?
