Sump plug socket size

Hey guys can anyone tell me what the socket size is for a sump plug on a 1.4i 2006 kfw its a large hex bigger than 25mm.

Its a 24mm socket or if you have sump plug sockets its an 8mm square socket.

Yeah thats what I thought but 24mm doesnt fit and 25mm doesnt fit so maybe 26mm? 25mm is the biggest socket I have and is too small. I'm thinking it must be an aftermarket sump plug. Thanks for the reply.

Sounds like it may not be the original plug then. Just for info the plug washer is 16 mm inside diameter.

I did haha. looked like it was 25mm so ordered a 25mm and its too small I think 26mm should do it just wondered if anyone on here knew. Didn't want to waste more time ordering and waiting again for it to be the wrong size again.

From what I had found out and from the sizes you gave me I think it must be a replacement. I'll try a 26mm and hope for the best.
