1.6 hi fuel pump timing

can anyone help please. My mate just did head gasket on my van and now it won’t start. Turns over fine. Starts on easy start, fuel going to injectors. Can someone tell me how to time the fuel pump, it was locked refitting the timing belt but he thinks it could be wrong.  Any help would be great thanks. Gareth

The common rail set up means the fuel/injector pump does not need timing . it only pressurises the common rail and the injectors are triggered by electronics/ecu. 1.6 and 2 litre engines
This does not apply to the 1.9d engines.
