Hello Campers Today I've just fitted a push button switch that allows yo to open the closed tailgate when your sat or sleeping in you boot jump without going out of one of the sliding doors to get outside and open the tailgate from the outside For the modification you will need a push momentary switch, a soldering iron and solder, 2 metre's of light gauge twin core cable and 20 x 9mm trim clips. It involves removing the trim panel from the inside of the tailgate which is held in place by the trim clips (15 in total) which everyone exploded that's why I suggest you buy clips at the same time you buy the switch trust me you will need them !!! Then you have everything to hand. Here are the links :-

The hardest part was drilling the 11mm hole and make it neat. I chose that switch because it was in black to match the trim colour and the smallest to do the job. TAKE YOUR TIME AND MAKE A NEAT JOB. Replace all the trim clips on the trim panel and get some one to help you to replace it on the tailgate. I spent 1 hour trying to do it on my own and I couldn't. Got my mate to help me and it took 5 minutes. It's well worth the effort.
Good luck and best wishes Dave
