Mounting Led string fairy lights on roof lining.

Which would be the best way to fasten the light string to the roof lining without doing any damage or leaving any marks. Has anyone used the very small map pins?  I have bought a 10m warm white string (that runs of a power bank that I had) with a remote control and usb plug of ebay for £3.93 and I am very impressed. What have you used with success? Any advice or suggestions will be most welcome.
