Roof Seal
#1
Can any one advise please, I have a 2005 1600 Multispace and the roof is leaking   Sad Is it possible to replace the rubber seals  (the one that holds it in and the individual seals on the roof lights) If so what is the best way to go about it (take it somewhere and let them do it or DIY) ?
I have tried using sealant, looks a mess & doesn't work  Sad

Thanks jj9 the local dealer tells me that the seal is no longer stocked, and seating round can't find a seal. Others have tried various sealants to no avail, so Gaffer Tape for now and when it comes off .... do it again until I get fed up with it and PX it on a newer one.
Thanks again Robert Smile

I'm sure you could seal it with PU adhesive, that stuff sticks to virtually anything and it is very strong but flexible.

Any recommended brands ? and I will try when the Gaffer Tape gives up.
Bit disappointed with Citroen discontinuing the roof seal, it could effectively scrap a vehicle after 15 years, when you consider I have a 1938 Austin and can still buy parts ha ho

Have a look at Seals Direct.  They have sorted me out quite a few time on seals for boats.
B9 (2016) 1.6 BlueHDi 100 Multispace XTR = Mine;   B9 (2013) Enterprise 1.6 HDi Van = Hers.

There's a few brands listed in the thread I linked to, or if you have a Toolstation close to you they sell the stuff.

As ffrenchie advises in the other thread use masking tape to help you get it on neatly, I would smooth it before it dried with a gloved finger and you can feather the edge out that way, remove the masking tape before the sealant dries and you should have a neat enough job.
