Lost horn
#1
Hi,

We have somehow lost the horn on our 1.6 Berlingo (2006).

It has taken me a while to find where it should be (hidden away on the front near side, behind the headlight).

The wire is just about long enough to reach and I can see the multiplug connector on the end of the wire is still on place.

I am trying to find a cheap replacement horn (quoted £66 from Citroen) with the correct connection for my wire/plug.

Can anyone tell me where the horn should be attached to? I will get a bracket with the replacement horn but am not sure where to attach it.

Many thanks.

Are you sure the horn is faulty as its usually poor earthing on the steering column. try a temp wire from column to a good earth nearby and see if it works. Also check brake light switch wiring as this can wear away when the steering is turned and cause problems.
Are we there yet????? Huh

Thanks for your reply.

I probably didn't make it clear. The horn unit itself has physically gone from it's location just behind the nearside headlight. I can't imagine how it happened, perhaps the bracket corroded and the wiring connection somehow became detached..... or someone stole it!!!

Cut the wires and fit some spade connectors then get a horn from ebay or scrapyard. I'd fit a Klaxon if mine went  Tongue
So where does this bit go then ?

my horn is underneath the headlight behind the bumper. Someone's modified the position of yours , probably to get better access.
