Blower resister
#1
Hi!
I have a 2004 2.0 HDI with the seemingly common problem of the Blower switch only operating on the highest setting. It does not have air con. I know this is almost certainly the resister pack, but where is it?
My Haynes Manual is very vague on the subject - The Electrical diagram says 'typical heater' and suggests that it's inside the heater control panel. However some posts on this forum and others suggest that it's up under the passenger footwell and others that it's somewhere above the fuses on the drivers side (mine is right hand drive). Has anyone had the same problem with this particular Berlingo version?

Solved!
It is behind, and to the left, of the glove compartment. I eased the glove compartment doorstops away from their housings to create more room. Found this

Which looks identical apart from the cutouts in the white plastic. two minutes with a Stanley Knife fixed that.

You can use an image hosting service and post the thumbnail link of your picture, or use the full screen editor "New Reply" in here and at the bottom, use "New Attachment > Choose File > Add Attachment" and then post as usual.

If you use the quick reply box, it has no buttons to add an attachment.

Here are the two together, (the new one is on the right) you can see that they appear to be identical apart from the cutouts in the white plastic.
A bit of work with the knife was required to make it seat correctly.

Nice one, there have been a few people lately with a similar issue, good to know.
