Berlingo 2006 Multispace
#1
Hello, here is my 2006 Berlingo with 55.000 miles, got super lucky when found this one from an old lady that unfortunately had a bad medical condition and she lost her right to drive, her son convinced her 6 months later to sell the car and she ended up in tears when I drove away.
She had the car from new and is close to immaculate condition.
Did a service to it and then a timing belt kit with soon to follow a clutch kit because of a noisy release bearing.
Lately done the discs and pads and fitted a nice 17 inch DS3 wheels ( 205x45xr17 ) had to trim the rear mud guards because the tyre would scrape it and there were no issues with the front ones at all.
Looking to fit a DS3 Steering Wheel next but cannot find any info if it fits the MK1 facelift.
In the near future I will modify the centre console and 3D print another one to fit a double din stereo and will have to relocate some of the buttons.

Nice motor... "Some guys have all the luck"   Big Grin

Top of my priorities would be to blank the EGR valve.

Thank you, what would be the benefit of doing so ?
I do short motorway trips 5 out of 7 days a week

The wheels are nice, super clean car. The DS3 steering wheel won't fit and the airbag isn't compatible on the M59 you have anyway. You need something like the 306 GTi steering wheel, as the 306 is the vehicle on which your model of Berlingo is based.

Blanking the EGR stops it clogging the entire intake up with solid oily carbon deposits and killing it by suffocation.

Unless it's a 1.4 petrol, in which case no point, but if it's a diesel...it's the best thing you can do before it gets any more miles on it, is blank the EGR.
