I've got myself a 2006 2.0HDI Berlingo van, I went for the berlingo after looking under other manufacturers vans, the citroens hold up very well against corrosion.
I had the 1.9D version some years ago, until the cambelt snapped.
It has a very heavy pedal on this one, I know they're heavy anyway but this one more so, reading round I've discovered it's missing its helper pedal.
It only has the one manual key. Remote replacements from the delaers comes in at £200 all in
I can get a manual key cut but un-programmed for less than £20.
The question is are any of these diagboxes at around the £50 mark any good, will I be able to program a key with them, they claim full dealer services.
I can get a programmed spare manual key for around £80 but I'd rather buy the unprogrammed one and some diagnostic kit then program myself and have the advantage of future diagnostic capabilities for the same price.

With Diagbox or Lexia, key programming is quite straightforwards. The only thing to remember is that you need the special code which comes on a credit card sized piece of plastic. If you don't have that code you can get it from a main dealer for approx £25.
The Diagbox / Lexia kit on eBay is generally ok, but they're all Chinese clones so there's bound to be the odd duff one. If you have a search around on here, you should be able to find a link to one that's been bought & found to be ok.
Another option is to get the existing key cloned.

Thanks,
I took the V5 and some ID to the local dealers and they gave me the pin code free of charge which I was surprised at.
I'll have a browse on here and try to find a decent bit of diagnostic kit.

eBay is where you will have to get a Lexia 3 interface with DiagBox 7.83 and install it on a windows 7 laptop for the easiest install and more guaranteed to work first time.
Nothing else comes close to DiagBox, but I'd only pay up to £50 ish for it. Some folk are asking over £100 on eBay now. Mine was £45. Watch out for folk just selling the software for under a tenner, nothing wrong with it but without the Lexia interface it's no use to you.

I picked up this one (it was just shy of £40 a month ago).
https://www.obdiitool.co.uk/wholesale/li...p2000.html
Paid by PayPal and received an email soon after to say we'll do our best but we have no UK stock. I was in no rush, so said no problem. Surprisingly it landed on my doorstep a few days later. I have installed it on Windows 7 (32 bit, it will NOT work on 64 bit, so don't waste your time). I'm fixing my Berlingo and lo and behold I got Lexia working today, so this one worked for me.

You can't beat Lexia / DiagBox on a Citroen. It's the dog's danglies.

Thanks for the recommend. It says it is a light version and doesn't mention key coding, do you know if it can code keys?

I don't know what they mean exactly by lite, I'd make sure you get what's called the full chip version as yes, it probably can't code keys unless it's the full chip model. There are some chinese ones that can't do everything. I'd ask them outright before buying from them.
Mine came from eBay but was the full chip version. Make sure that's what you're getting before spending the money. The software is the same (DiagBox & Peugeot Planet) but the electronics can be different in some cheap versions.
