fan belt
#1
hi guys how are yous all doing
i have a 2002 berlingo 19D van and going to work last night my fan belt broke
i left my van at work as i didnt want to drive it home as i live 15 miles away and was sort of scared if i done so it might do something to the engine
im going this morning to get the belt for her and was just wondering if anyboby knew which way it went on and if its a easy job to do
i have all the tools at work for the job
thanks

Pretty straightforward. The belt takes the longest route round all the pulleys.

Get the right length poly-V belt (take the old one along) as lengths vary with engine and ancilliary combinations.

Back off the adjuster under the drivers feet, slip the belt on (I got Mrs W to hold it in place "on top") and tighten the adjuster.

Run for a few minutes and the check the tension again.
