1,6HDi oil sump replacement (M59; 2007)
#1
Hi All,

I replaced the turbo on my 1.6HDi a few months ago and also replaced the old rusty oil sump. I made a video of the procedure. If anyone is interested or one wants a more visual guide it can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaXlaRyuOgA

Let me know of any questions. It was pretty easy and 4 months on it has not leaked a single drop.

Cheers,
saskak

Hi, I'd like to say I've went through all ur video last week when I bucking up the balls to do my own oil change and I ended up spending the evening watching all the berlingo ones. And saved you for future use. Are the cars u have done videos on ur previous cars or just jobs thought would be helpful. They are explain everything u need to know about the job.

Ha, that was some effort to go through all of them :-)
All of these are on my own Pug Partner and are mostly stuff that I thought would be useful for people to watch or if it has not been covered by other people. I never did anything on cars before, although there was this extremely old truck that my father and I rebuilt the engine, but I was way too young to have picked up anything. Started doing things on my car when bought a EOBDII scanner for my car and there was an error for a glow plug. Paid ~£400 to get it replaced by a garage and when I checked the errors again, after clearing them, this one was not working again. Got fed up and did it myself. You just need to build from small things, oil changes, etc.

Good luck and start doing stuff, it's really satisfactory.
