Boot Jump Interest
#1
Hello,

Just wanted a bit of feed back from members on selling boot jumps.

I run a CNC machine at work and 6 months ago I designed and made myself a Boot jump, I made the boot jumper before i had a Berlingo and I ended up with a M59 multispace. This one was a bit over engineered and alot of the functions of this boot jump, looking back i don't really use or need.

2 weeks ago I helped a friend find a Car she ended up with a Partner escapade same body shape as my Multipsace. She wanted a boot jump but it needed to be able to be taken apart and stored flat. I came up with a very simple no frills boot jump that can be dismantled and re assembled (maybe not as easy as ikea) with a mallet. The back two panels that are used as 2 thirds of the bed can also be detached from the main box.

I have since then simplified it even more for manufacturing reasons.

My Thinking is That I could cut all the parts that you need and supply them flat pack for you to assemble/modify your self. You could glue and screw it together to make it a more permanent boot jump. All parts would be supplied fresh of the machine and would need edges sanding. the only assembly I would do is the hinges on the two flat bed supports and the leg support. all other modification/assembly would be down to the buyer

I suppose this would be aimed at someone who is on a budget but doesn't have time/ access to tools etc.

My friend is away ATM but will upload some pictures of what I made for her.

Would people be interested in this? I would only be able to offer a boot jump for M59 shape as i know it fits.

Any other feedback would be great .

I'd be interested if suitable for my newly acquired 2005 multispace
