its in the settings menu - but why do you need to turn off the screen?

Hi, thanks for your answer, I want to switch it off when driving at night, I know I can turn the brightness down but I haven't found the option to switch it off. Could you tell me the path in the menu to get to that option? Do I need to update the sofware to have that option (the car is new, I bought it two weeks ago)?

There's a night mode on the previous display I have, that turns it off, its something like menu > personalisation > video > night mode.

I've attached the manual for the B9, your K9 one may be the same in that section on the colour touch screen.

Hi, my K9 is different, I haven't got the option to switch it off. Maybe you only have the option if you get the car with a nav, mine doesn't have it.

Ok, as far as I know, to switch it off fully you have to hold the menu button for a full 10 seconds, and it will take another 20 to 30 secs to shut down, with a beep at the end to confirm.

Night mode is better: To do this, from the main menu, simply go to "Settings" and then "System". In this screen you will have an icon that looks like a moon to signify night mode. You will need to tap on it in order to switch to standby mode.

Or there is also quick access, at the top right you may have the setting icon (gear?) which is always visible to access settings/system/standby mode quicker.

Let me know. Why would they remove that menu on the latest screens? If they have, I guess you're out of luck. It didn't matter if you had nav or not. This how the colour screen in the vans at work operate.

I need to have another play around with the settings but even in night mode (which I think mine switches to automatically) the light from the dash and screen is awfully bright and causes distracting reflections in the driver’s window. It’s pretty much the only negative thing I have to say about this car!
