water in both footwells
#1
Hi there,

Have searched forum but can't find anything definitive for my model (b9 60 reg berlingo multispace)

Was getting a damp smell and noticed what looked like water drops near clutch on the mat and presumed it was coming from my walking boots (dog walker) and put the damp smell down to the towels imuse to dry the dogs but it was really strong.

anyways decided to lift the carpet (didnt realise there was gap between carpet and chassis) and it was full of water, on both sides in the footwell.

Have removed scuttle panel, wipers and the drains dont seem blocked, have simulated rain with spraying a hose pipe for about 30 mins and no sign of water.

had to pop the little plugs to drain the water.

windscreen seems fine but going to take photos of what looks like a white stain dead center at the bottom if that has anything to do with it.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Isnt that a sign of water getting in between the laminated glass of the windscreen ?

That is usually a sign of the lamination separating between the 2 layers of glass. That could be the problem. Water could then find its way down the inner firewall.
