I have now had the car Flair 130 with modulux top ( quite a weight in itself) from new for 14 months and 9000 miles.
As a tight person, I tend to drive on the fuel consumption meter / load the engine as little as possible, thus tend to cog swap a bit particularly as 6th gear is a bit tall at sub 60mph hills.
Optimum torque is 1500/2000 rpm.
In the first year of ownership ie first service/7200 miles the average was 52mpg.
In the winter months the engine did feel a bit rich/ ran too cool.
After the first service there was a subtle change and the car was a bit peppier.
I had had issues with the stop start, and various non functions such as auto wipers and intermittent auto lights.
Anyway the live mpg readout was notably more rapid/ less delayed and as said engine crisper.
I toured/ camped south west Scotland and the average went up to exactly 60mpg @ 8400 miles.
I have just been to Bideford for near a week, the average fuel consumption is now 57.8mpg after 7 hours there, 8 hours back in a lot of traffic.
The average speed in now 8500 miles is 33mph, showing these days how slow are roads are!
I love the car, comfortable to Drive having just done 4 off 7 hour drives in a month, all I have to do is place a small pillow at my lumbar - this has eliminated what occasional psiatica.
Compared to most cars I have had, though the suspension is soft, the car steers lovely and I still expect a BANG on bumps cos every car I have had ( about 25) has done so, this Berlingo absorbs bumps nicely.
Brilliant car.
If I could change anything it would be to a 150/180 hp variant, as it would be as economical, but pull top gear easier- in UK not an option.
