[Engine] Another kfw engine question
#1
Back again guys,

Does anyone know what the difference is between kfw engine number before (older engine) 3666766 and engine number after (newer engine) 3666766.

All i know is the one has 108 teeth on the cambelt and one has 104.

Is it just the length of the cambelt thats different or anything else?

Also why is there a 4 teeth difference between the two?

It looks to me as though its just the pulleys that are different so one requires a longer belt.

Could it be that the older engine had a manual cambelt tensioner and the later ones had an auto tensioner so they had to make room to fit it.
Are we there yet????? Huh

Yes i think your right. So in theory change the belt tensioner and water pump to the latest and it would be ok.
