With the coming of the darker mornings/evenings I thought it would be good to change the two blown bulbs behind the heater control panel in the wife’s dog van (and earning lots of brownie points in the process!
). Set about getting to the back of the panel by taking out the cubby hole section above and twiddling said panel into a horizontal position to get at the bulb holders. So far so good and quite easy. BUT, one of the pesky holders made a break for freedom by jumping down into the murky depths inside the gear lever housing!!!
Honest, guv, I didn’t help it!!
Out with the trusty Haynes manual, removed said housing, (a very easy job indeed),retrieved the naughty holder, replaced duff bulbs and fitted back all housings & panels. Job done and all without too much swearing or skinning of knuckles.
