Windows
#1
Hi all,
I have a problem with my 2005 2.0Hdi driver & passenger windows in that they won't operate unless the engine is running.  Also the drivers window randomly won't operate (eg for a car park barrier etc).  So you have to switch off the engine, then turn it on again and the window operates fine.

Please can anyone suggest where to start looking to rectify the issue.

For all of the problems you've posted in the various threads, it could be worth doing a BSI reset. Search YouTube, there's a good video on it. Same procedure for all PSA models from the 2000's onward. This might resolve the window and abs issues.

And to access the maxi fuses, they're under the main top fuse tray in the engine fusebox. On the m59 I think it's rivetted in. You won't lose anything by disconnecting the battery, but when you reconnect it, wait a few minutes before trying to start the engine or even turn the ignition on.
