2017 Enterprise - Possible to upgrade head unit to Android Auto ?

Hi,

I've just bought a 2017 enterprise spec Berlingo Van. It seems to have a head unit with CarPlay / MirrorPlay functionality and a separate sat Nav unit on the dashboard. 

Unfortunately my phone (Google Pixel 3aXL) doesn't support MirrorPlay, so I'm just on Bluetooth audio link. 

I was used to using android auto in my old car (no smart anything in it), and I gather the 2018 Berlingo has Android Auto. 

I'm wondering whether anyone is aware of a way to upgrade the head unit software to include Android Auto instead of MirrorPlay ? Or perhaps a way to use it on the separate SatNav system ? 

All hints / tips / confirmation of impossibility gratefully received.

pretty sure the last smeg update included android auto for that touch screen.

Hi, as above, has anyone ever get android auto installed for the touchscreen?
My choices are Apple Carplay & Mirrorlink and versions for my 11/2017 model are:
System Version: Software: SMEG6.4.A.R10, CD: 31120, Dated: 16-06-17
Bluetooth Version: Software: 1.2.0, CD: 31120, Dated: 16-06-17
Display Version: Software: 42.03, CD: 31120, Dated: 16-06-17

I have a Teyes android 9" screen. And i just love it.  Cc2p is mine. bought on aliexpress. and have all the features of a tablet. and i have no bigger complaints.  
and rear view camera in the 3'rd brake light 
all buttons on the stalk works like normal.

In an attempt to keep things simple to get "android auto" onto the headunit, I saw this dongle on ebay:

The seller advises to download the apk file from the manufacture to ensure it can be installed on the headunit.
How does one install an apk file on a smeg+ IV2 unit?
Is there a cheat code that can be entered after pressing and holding the "Media / Radio" button
Or how do you get into engineering mode or recovery mode to load apk?
Any hackers out there? Unlike the citroen dealer, I'm not worried if the headunit is corrupted as another one can be purchased from the auto recyclers (with android auto) or an after market one like Tikki's reply.

Hi, I gave up with my android phone and bought an iphone 12 which works perfectly.
The other option was to buy a new head unit .........
