[Filters & Oil] Suspected Gear Box Oil Leak

Hi everybody, i'm new to the forum but have already found the forum to be very informative, thank you. I have fairly recently acquired a 2001 2.0l hdi which i've been very pleased with, apart from what i fear is a quite substantial gearbox oil leak. Difficult to see exactly where this is coming from, expect that it seems to be coming from passenger side of engine. I'm no mechanic and i'll be taking it to my garage next week. What i wanted to ask is whether this is common on this age/model, and whether there are any particular known or possible explanations. No issues ( for now at least) with operation of clutch/gearbox as far as i can tell.

I would welcome any observations/advice,thanks in anticipation!
