Fuel cap key swap

Hi, I've just got a new petrol cap for my 2002 Berlingo and I want to swap my key barrel in my old cap and put it in my new cap, but I don't know how to do it.
Please can anyone tell me how to do it?

Never tried, but the barrel of your old cap maybe only come out with the key turned in it. Try unlocking the original then pulling it apart.
