Hi all. As some will know/remember I've had trouble with my Berlingo's VIN ever since I bought it last year... it has finally been resolved - despite several re-reads and cleanings of the VIN plate and sticker, I consistently read one of the digits wrongly (or it's printed wrongly - I will check tomorrow!).
Below are some more things I learnt about VINs and RPOs along the way, in case it helps anyone.
RPOs are a coded day and place of manufacture for your car. Basically, the 5 numbers are the number of days between that date and 1 Jan 1980, and the two letters are a code for the assembly plant.
This website has it all, although it calls RPOs ORGAs and RPs - same thing I think - and it also thinks they still only have 4 numbers - but the date calculator works with 5 okay:

Scroll further down for info on the two letters.
VINs are likewise understandable with a bit of knowledge. To save me waffling pointlessly, start here:
https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Vehicle_Id...VIN_codes)
As you'll see it includes links to a group of pages, each of which gives specific details relating to one car manufacturer. Unfortunately it is not complete and Citroen is one of the casualties. However Peugeot is there, so it might be possible to compare Berlingos with Partners?
