help with alloy wheel locking bolt
#11
The link is a full set of bolts and one locking key, not the full locking keys set. Maybe I am not looking at the ebay advert correctly.

I think PSA should be able to give me the correct key code from the VIN , but what I read online they have not helped anyone and people have tried.

You only need one key... The set is identical. I have original factory locking bolts and the key fits all 4 mate, there isn't a unique key for each wheel. You only get one key from new with 4 locking bolts.

They don't sell the keys likely because every little scrote would buy one and go round nicking alloys. Doesn't stop them buying a used set of course.

Apologies, I know that all 4 are the same. I meant it is very difficult to guess the key by just looking at the pattern. I have not heard about a master key as well, unless one can re-arrange all pins, but then criminals would also get one. I cannot go on buying every key possible, at £20 per key. Maybe someone sells them all in one full set, but last time I counted there were at least 37 combinations.

All sorted and thank you for all the suggestions, much appreciated.

Called a mobile tyre fitting company. The guy came with one locking wheel key with three of the four pins filed, so one to bite on the holes on the wheel bolt. Hit it on with a hammer and using the Dynomec rotating tool, whacked it a few times with a hammer and all four came without a problem. No more than 10mins for all 4.

Whole thing was £90, including 4 new security bolts. Probably could have done it myself, but the Dynomec thing is way more expensive than £90.

Thanks again to everyone for the suggestions.

Great to know you had it fixed, I have the same bolts and recently changed my locking wheel nuts to normal ones as the tyre place I use pointed out my locking nut was wearing out.
