220v socket
#1
Hi,

Tried to use the 220v socket located in the cabin. There's a green light but when I plugin a apple charger to test nothing. Do I miss something here? Helps is more than welcome.

Sorry, no idea how it works.
Looks like it's an optional extra?
Would be interesting to know what load it will take, brochure suggests it's for 'charging laptop'.

Maybe the fuse to the inverter or the socket itself, is blown...if it won't charge a phone, then it won't charge a laptop either....the socket doesn't know what's connected to it and they both require a working supply.

Has to be fused somewhere.

I would have thought if an inverter and say for a laptop Tele, would there not be quite a high current being drawn is low battery( am sure there will be a warning) Maybe you need to be inputting 220V say at a campsite.
Tis a problem wiv these cars, SO complex the manufacturers seem to either not advise o not be of sufficient depth.
Think the worst thing is the DEALERS/:SALES have little less ideas than us the consumers.
Then in my case every time there are faults/ issues it can take 2 days NOT to fix the fault AND you are always advised there will be a cost ( now £90) if the fault is not found.
My last job FX of the S&S fault ( still) and error for service due mileage I was told t pay £90 - I refused- then advised - this time in good will - Good will B*%%*?s.
For info Richmond Portsmouth-"as a simile I had an Hyundai i20 1.1 D (70 mpg) from new in 4 years of ownership it went back 10 times for manufacturing/ warranty issue ALL repaired except the lane warning- never worked in the wet- was told the same at final go at fixing.
Will try and use Freebourne Fareham OR anyone in Fareham/ Portsmouth area want to offer anyone better for warranty issues ( S&S and the service schedule " spanner" error)
Cheers
Roger
