Wind Noise Bulkhead Area
#1
Hi
Just joined the forum as I wonder if anyone can assist in identifying cause of a severe wind noise problem on a 2012 Berlingo Multispace .
Started to notice the problem after the Berlingo’s last full service and aircon re-gas around June this year.
Wind rush noise appears to be coming from front bulkhead area.
First only really noticed this when it was raining / poor weather / windy. Not really noticeable during fine weather.
Now we are in the winter months it appears to be present at all speeds above about 30 – 40 mph.
I have tapped up the windscreen surround to see if that eliminated the noise (read somewhere that replacement windscreens can sometimes develop a leak (i.e. around adhesive joint) if fitted outside in inclement weather conditions  - I had a replacement screen fitted in the drive about two years ago).
There is no evidence of damp (i.e. water leak) inside the vehicle.
Local garage that did the service (good bunch of guys) had a go at identifying the problem and without prompting said they thought it was from the bulkhead area, but although they could hear the wind noise, could not find anything wrong
Any suggestions / ideas on how to resolve would be appreciated.  Huh

Could be a dislodged grommet where something passes through the bulkhead, main ones would be the steering column, and brake remote actuator (which is under the glovebox) - the big rubber seal may have gotten dislodged.

You may have to take the glovebox out to get a proper look, as when the B9 was converted to RHD by Citroen, they didn't move the brake master cylinder, so it's now operated by a long bar that crosses the bulkhead at floor level and a rod passing through the bulkhead under a domed cover on the passenger side. (UK)

Thanks for suggestions. Will have a look accordingly.

I wonder if that is what is causing the cold air to come in under the steering wheel which many have complained about and never solved including me.
