Wondering if any of you experienced Berlingo peeps can shed any light on a 'beep' type noise when I stop and switch off, well it's actually 4 beeps then a 5th one which sorta fades out...? These seem to be quite gentle beeps not like an alarm and no warning lights as the car is switched off when it happens. (2013 Multispace Plus 1.6 HDi)
Is it anything to be concerned about or is the car just saying bye bye

The only time mines makes such a noise is when I turn it off with the lights switch still in the on position

Thanks for the reply Trevor - That's one of the first things I checked.
There's a delay of a couple of seconds after switching off before it sounds, maybe I should just switch off and jump straight out of the car..?
I can't find any reference to it in the handbook and didn't keep the guy's number who I bought it off. Several searches on the Net have revealed just about every alarm bar this one, mind if it is an alarm it's quite faint and doesn't sound 'urgent' if you know what I mean ?

On mine it would be the Pioneer stereo.
Mine has a detatchable front that you're supposed to remove to dissuade crooks from smashing their way into the car and nicking the stereo. And these give off a series of beeps after you switch off the inition in order to remind you to grab the front.

Opened the bonnet the other day with the engine running then switched off, I could hear the 'beeps' and it does sound as if there's a flap or something closing on the last one, so you're probably right about something shutting down. Everything working fine on mine too..
Thanks for the reply

Mine just has the standard Radio/CD player - no removable front - I don't think this is the source of the noise, car is running fine so I tend to just switch off and ignore it now..
Cheers

My 2012 Enterprise van has done exactly that since day 1.
I think it's electrical or some kind of booster relinquishing it's pressure maybe?
It's never resulted in a problem, so I just figured it was the "bye bye" you suggested!
Various things make strange noises when shutting down (including myself!), so I'd just ignore it and go with the flow.....

I have always had the same sounds on shut down, it seems to be the ECU closing the egr & inlet doser valve etc and generally just putting things to the closed position ready for a restart.
My old m59 HDi did it too but was a longer electronic tone with staccato breaks in it, like a burst of Morse code.
