Abs Esr esp problem
#11
Reason being, I have the Citroen OEM workshop documents on all fault codes and it is pretty specific rather than some generic message. If you post the fault code I'll look it up later today.

Hi, did you find a solution,
I've exactly the same problem.

C1301 code, I have changed the brake switch, my diagbox have comunication with the abs/esp, and the pressure switch seems to follow the pressure from my foot.
Perhaps the problem might be in the wiring?
The brake switch have function on the first position and the stoplights working, but the second seems to be looked in pressed position, even if I have it hanging loose and pushing it by hand.

I just checked the thread on my phone as I went to bed. I'll try to remember to get the files up and look for your code tomorrow buddy.

Ok, C1301 is a fault code indicating the ABS block pressure sensor doesn't match the expected value when the brake switch makes contact. The sensor is supposed to read 3 bar max when you press the brake, but unfortunately seems to be inside the ABS hydraulic unit itself.

Have you tried pressing the brake pedal firmly while the engine is running and operating the brake switch by hand once the brake pressure is applied?

It could be the switch position is wrong - it makes before the pressure has reached the required level. I'd expect the switch on a brake pedal to be early-make though, and only need light pressure on the pedal before it detects you pressing it, and the BSI seems to expect a certain value in the ABS block when it is seen to operate. With DiagBox, you may be able to read the ABS pressure as you apply the pedal and see what it reads, and when. The brake switch can also be tested with it.

Your switch may be making contact too late then if it was as I suspect, supposed to make early.

If the pressure sensor has gone AWOL, it would need repaired or the ABS block replaced it seems. There is a service on eBay offering to repair this fault for £90, search eBay for the code C1301 and you will find the listing. Worth a try.

EDIT: looks like it could be required that the sensor must not read more than 3 bar when the brake light switch triggers. Try clearing the code and then press the switch by hand, and then press the pedal (with switch connected but not to the brake pedal)

Thanks man!
Thats some useful information, I'll try the last process as you described
I have read the brake pressure from diagbox and its from 0 to 150bar
but the brake switch only have one brake pedal pressed/ signal, the second says brake pedal pressed all of the time...
When I Messuring the switch and
It works like it should.
Perhaps some broken wire between the switch and the bsi.

Yeah, it could be then, that you have a faulty BSI. Tried a BSI reset? Maybe just wait till the BSI goes to sleep and disconnect the battery for a good 10 minutes.

It can't be helped, as you drive on the wrong side of the road Big Grin
