Did that 30 years ago. Cost me a $4000 custom built bicycle and after 2 years I averaged riding it 1700 miles a MONTH, for 8 years, until I became sane again. That was a true addiction. Resting heart rate 39, bp 75/35 (got dizzy standing up) and lost 120 lbs. I never felt better in my life. If you're early 40 something I recommend it. Allow two years to get there.

half that age and add it and thats nearly me.....or should I say that will be me next year. so I think a bit more sedate, just me mountain bike every day.

I tend not to do resolutions as they'll only get broken, lol. I can vouch for getting out on the bike though as I'm a keen XC MTB'r.

Not true - I made a resolution about five years ago to "stop making New Year´s Resolutions" and I haven´t broken it yet!

After smoking heavily for 20 years I've been fag free for 2 months now ( fancy one right now ggrrrr ) this has jump started interest in keeping 'lingo tidier 'cos it no longer looks n smells like an ashtray . Really do fancy one though . . . pass me another carrot
