Does anyone know if you can upgrade the interior light bulbs? Mine aren't the brightest, almost dim. LEDs would be good if any fit.

I think from memory they are festoons, with the double ended cap shape. There should be plenty of led versions on eBay and Amazon.
Almost all LEDs are made in China so quality varies wildly, and Halfords charge a fortune for rebranded cheap Chinese LEDs too so I wouldn't get them from there.
Try a few, see what looks well made and keep an eye on the lamp temperature in use. LEDs are supposed to be cool but a lot of high powered cheap ones get really hot I've found.
For interior lights I'd try good brands like Osram etc but fewer choices and more expensive. Depends where you want to be price wise. eBay tat is cheap (£3) but may melt the acrylic lamp lenses and holders.
Here's a warm white (easier on the eyes) Osram festoon lamp at £11 to £13 each:

I replaced the interior bulbs on my M59 & then on the B9, from memory they are W5W bulbs. On the B9, the bulbs glowed slightly even when off, there must be a small voltage running constantly. I found they lasted well, except for the bulbs with leds mounted on a flat circuit board, normally sold as Canbus compatible, which keep failing.

Do LEDs still work with the dimming function when locking or unlocking the vehicle?

Also try improving the reflectivity of your lamp holders with a bit of tin foil.
