[Transmission] End FLoat on Input shaft
#1
Does anyone know what the end float should be on our 1.9 Petrol Multispace, BE3/5 gearbox - W reg

It made some really good grinding noises as the thrust bearing destroyed itself and on removal of the gearbox and  bits in the housing and having removed the clutch release bearing guide there seemed to be a lot of in and out movement on the shaft.
I have a replacement clutch kit but not sure if I should refit it as if the bearing is gone on the input shaft, i don't want to take it all out again.

There's about 3 or 4 mm of movement which seems excessive.

Cheers all.
