Have owned my brand new Berlingo for less than a month and it has started to crunch when changing from 1st gear to 2nd gear when accelerating fairly quickly. I don't mean like Lewis Hamilton but when pulling out from junctions etc. It's fine if you change at low revs but it starts to labour. Obviously I'll return it to Citroen for investigation but was wondering if anybody has experienced the same, and are the gearboxes any good?

Just clocked up 14k. on my K9 van and no gearbox issues as yet, although I am quite gentle with gear changing and seeing as there must be a heap of counterbalanced linkage between stick and box, would think it would complain a bit if you were a little enthusiastic.
Even so, it shouldn't crunch, that sounds like clutch drag or synchro problems in the box.
Just my two euro's worth.

It does seem a bit odd. My previous PSA van (2015 peugeot partner) clocked up over 151k miles with no issues and was still on the original clutch when sold, so I know it's not my driving style.
I'll get it down the Citroen garage for investigation.

Sounds like the synchromesh being worn.
Now a 2019 K9 1.2 petrol.
Before a 2010 B9 1.6 HDi diesel.

On a brand new vehicle that's only done 1000 miles?
B9 (2016) 1.6 BlueHDi 100 Multispace XTR = Mine; B9 (2013) Enterprise 1.6 HDi Van = Hers.

Certainly seems unlikely, what I'm saying is that's what it would sound like in an older vehicle, but if it is new, maybe there is a problem with the fit of the syncro. If it is linkage related it'd more often be happening on all or more than one of the gears, same as with clutch problems.
