Rear light wiring colours ? 2.0hdi

Not been anywhere near the switch, just everything behind seats.
Just to cause more confusion, the airbag warning light also started flashing at same time. Hope it’s not a bigger problem than just the wiring under the seats

The M49 should be the simplest of the bunch. Have you dislodged the wiring under the seats to the SRS seat belt retractors....that puts the airbag light on. Usually a yellow connector with 2 wires.

Might be an idea to check and replug all connections under the seats with the battery off, then put it back on and see if the car comes right again.

The reason I mentioned the switch, is the orange wire is directly connected to it according to the diagrams. If you pulled on it, you may have dislodged the switch.

    UXantia is not the same is the Bingo. Although some of the wiring code is similar. I’ve been out and reached switch on gearbox. After a struggle trying to remove the bloody plug and it disintegrating into bits, I managed to check the switch and it’s working, so it’s got to be whatever controls it on the van somewhere.
I’m giving up on this. Spent too much time pissin about now when I don’t really need it for mot, and I can fit a switch on the dash to operate it. I’ve already got a switch which I’d bought for my reversing camera, so I’ll wire that up for both

So I called upon the great God Haynes to assist.

Try as I may, I am unable to find wiring schematic for a 20 plate Berlingo. 
I note you mention Haynes in your post and I would really appreciate you letting me know how you obtained a wiring diagram via them.

I have purchased the online Autofix version of the manual (Paper copy doesnt appear to exist) and try as I may, I cannot find any woring schematic on it.

I got Haynes Manual off eBay and wiring diagram is inside. Not sure if they do one for a 20 plate, it’s a bit too new, mines 2001.

Solved.   
What I didn’t consider in all of this was that I’d fitted LED bulbs to reversing light and fog light. The wire for reversing light was orange (as I thought) but with LED bulb it was on permanently. Must be a Canbus thing. I can only say in my defence that as I’d rewired the tail lights I overlooked the change in bulb. And not had any problem when fitting other LEDs. Lesson learned
