Not been anywhere near the switch, just everything behind seats.
Just to cause more confusion, the airbag warning light also started flashing at same time. Hope it’s not a bigger problem than just the wiring under the seats

The M49 should be the simplest of the bunch. Have you dislodged the wiring under the seats to the SRS seat belt retractors....that puts the airbag light on. Usually a yellow connector with 2 wires.
Might be an idea to check and replug all connections under the seats with the battery off, then put it back on and see if the car comes right again.
The reason I mentioned the switch, is the orange wire is directly connected to it according to the diagrams. If you pulled on it, you may have dislodged the switch.

I got Haynes Manual off eBay and wiring diagram is inside. Not sure if they do one for a 20 plate, it’s a bit too new, mines 2001.
