I’ve just realised that man car is missing the circled bit in the photo, so no fresh air is actually getting into the the air box!!
Is there a way of buying just this elbow section or do I need to buy that whole piece Part number 1434C1.
Sorry for all these questions, I’ll calm down soon

Looking at the parts diagrams it doesn't look like the elbow you require is available as a separate item, the only part listed is the part you mention 1434C1.
What about trying a local breakers yard for the part.
The air filter plastics are pretty poor quality and they like to vibrate apart, a self tapping screw here & there along with a few cable ties helps keep them in place.

If it doesnt already have one I would drill a small hole and secure it with a self tapping screw for security sake
