Berlingo L2 Heater Fault - Your help appreciated
#1

Afternoon and Happy New Year
I have a Berlingo L2 van - It has a heater which is working on number 4 but nothing else.
I read somewhere that the cause of this is probably the heater resistor which I thought was located behind the glovebox - having taken apart the front of the van I am at a loss.
I have attached a photograph and perhaps if you know about Berlingos you could point me in the right direction before I ship it off to the garage.
Many thanks
Becky

Hi Becky, you're looking in the wrong place I'm afraid, it's above the pedals on the driver's side of a UK vehicle. I just did mine, see here for a guide with pics:

I'm sure you'll fix it this time. You will need a very odd sized socket of 5.5mm and a few long 1/4 extension pieces with a knuckle joint adaptor. Halfords sell them, separately or in a small socket set.

Taking the accelerator pedal out first, makes the job a whole lot easier. Awkward still, but doable. Otherwise, you can't get the plug off, or back onto, the heater resistor.

The upper bolts on the accelerator pedal need the knuckle due to angle. All bolts are the same 5.5mm heads.
