Horn not working .. tried cleaning earth on steering wheel still no luck
#1
I have tried this

http://www.glodark.com/peugeot-307-horn.htm

Basically cleaning the earth behind the airbag.. this did not work.

I have looked to see if there's any why's that have changed through near the steering column.. can't see any.

Is there a fuse for the horn .. what else can it be.. comm unit maybe ?

I have an MOT tmrw so looking forward to failing ☹️

Have you applied power directly to the horn itself as it could be that at fault.

Hi .. not yet .  I heard it's a bit of a pig to get to.

To add I think I have a bit of a problem with my comm unit .. indicators turn off by themselves and you have to push down a bit harder to make them stay on.. also high beam goes on that turns itself off.. I wonder if that's connected to the horn issue

That was me two years ago with our Berlingo - total face palm moment as I had simply forgot to check it (I DID remember the washer fluid   Big Grin )

Couldn't find any problems with fusing, earthing etc etc - even got into the horns from underneath the car (and yes, what a pig of a location) and they worked OK on a different supply.
Then found that really pushing hard on the button at a certain angle could sometimes get a little 'parp' but usually nothing. Gave it a few meaningful taps at this point and it started to improve - after about five minutes it worked about 75% of the time. Just kept at it until that was 100% (we do live in the middle of nowhere though). Assumption was that as the horn was last used at the previous MoT then the contacts had just got grotty in the intervening twelve months.

May be worth a try?
Oops - I see you have already started down this route - I will also admit to having driven an awful lot of the way into town to the MoT 'parping'

Well at least it's showing signs of life  Smile

I know you have cleaned up the connector like in the link you posted but it still may not be making a good contact.  This guy fixes the connection with a self tapping screw...   https://youtu.be/OvsIrLF7Stg?t=101

Regarding your comms unit and the indicators / high beam, this video shows how to fix it...
