K9 3rd Gen Error Code after Service
#1
Error message showing after service and air filter change.

Scanner indicates error as: air flow too low and air flow too high.

Any suggestions... the air box was accessed to replace the air filter, but other than that, it was a basic service, oil & filter, etc - nothing major.

Anyone able to help?

is that an error showing on the touch screen display?

Error flashes-up on main dash panel (section between speedo and tachometer): as 'Engine Fault - Service Required' followed by illumination of the amber engine warning light/icon.

The touch display then tries to direct me to the nearest Citroen Service Centre.

The OBD scanner tool reports the fault as: air flow/pressure too low and air flow/pressure too high and performance is erratic (sluggish acceleration, interspersed with normal acceleration).

Confused, big time.

Could be a bad connection to the air flow meter (MAF) after it being disturbed, or the pipework after the MAF is not sealed now.

Mmm, interesting... I'll check that out in the morning. It's got to be something connected with the air intake system, surely?

I have been through the airbox lid and pipework removal and refitting procedure again, cleared the codes using my OBD II tool, but it comes right back almost the second the engine is started.

Is the MAF plugged in? It's in the air intake, near the filter. It measures the airflow into the engine from the intake. The fault must lie around there. Or, your EGR is sticking.

Was this a home service or a dealer/garage service?

Garage service, using OEM consumables and Total oil.

A reputable outfit that I've used several times before.

Have you spoken to them about the problem?  Also has the service interval countdown been reset?
