Noise in Neutral With Clutch out

Hi guys,

Got a rattle in neutral with the clutch out,

When I press the clutch the noise goes away. Getting different opinions on the internet, some saying it is a sign of a bad "clutch release bearing", others say it's a sign of a bad "transmission input bearing" not sure if they are different or the same thing.

Opinions would be greatly appreciated and accompanying pictures if possible, never done a clutch or associated bits and not too familiar with what each part is or what it's called,

Clutch release bearing mate. Best to do the whole clutch kit, as the work is no less, the driveshafts, hubs and gearbox have to come off either way.

Not a trivial job but doable with time and ramps.

You will likely need balljoints too. Track rod, wishbone and drop links. They usually can't be split without damage.

Anyone who disagrees, try taking a fwd gearbox off without disturbing these items.
