It has been many many years since i got involved with anything mechanical/electrical on car. I had company vehicles all the time, i never had to look under the bonnet AT ALL.

My last owned personally car was a Triumph Dolomite, under the bonnet there was a battery with two terminal, one red, one black, simple.

I did own a 2013 Kia, there was never any NEED to look under the bonnet.

So with the Citroen looking at the battery it made no sense to me.

As for the ramble after about the date perhaps i should not have put that in.

At 72 i just want to drive the car not play with it, not enough life left to learn it all!

I hope this explains things and sorry for any trouble caused.

No trouble caused and sorry if my post sounded unkind, it was never intended to. I was a bit lost reading the first post and then a flood of replies came in and it became a bit clearer what you were asking. I can only apologise if it came across like that, text can appear negative without context - sorry mate. Smile

Would appreciate a quick and easy answer nothing tech just where to hook up the + & -

Hi

Yes I know what you mean same here .....

Assuming you have a Berlingo B9 then if you look to the right hand side (looking directly at the battery) on the wing there is an earth lug that you can attach the black negative crocodile clip

See attached screen clip from the owners manual describing it on page 155

Stupid design TBH really awkward to get the battery out if the battery needs an overnight trickle charge

see link here in case you have to remove battery https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8w9uPZHc3mA

WORD of CAUTION,

if you elect to trickle charge overnight without removed the battery. Then the next day make sure the weather warms up before opening the bonnet to disconnect charger. Stating the latter as the soft foam near the hinges were stuck to the bonnet in my case and ended up being destroyed.

Adding insult to injury, the little bif foam is 25 pounds a corner from the dealership day light rubbery for a bit of foam

Hope it helps

Thanks for posting, when they designed and built this assembly I bet they were falling around laughing

Do away with the foam, they only gather water and rust the screw heads underneath it . They don't seem to do anything else. I removed mine.

There's a thread on here about them , believe there was someone going to try to make and sell copies of them when he discovered the price of new ones.
