Hello,

I recently sold my car and bought a 2015 Berlingo Enterprise in black with 37,000 Miles, the van is to assist in renovating my 180 year old home. The plan is to modify the van, in a subtle (in places) quietly cool kind of style. I haven't owned a van before let alone mod one, but I have modified and built many vehicles from hot hatches to winch challenge Land Rovers and most recently, 2 wheels, a K100 motorcycle which got published in a few magazines and shared by BMW, heres a link to the thread if anyone is 2 wheel interested K100 Build.

Im not a virgin to French vehicles, my first car was a 306 XSI which I rolled into a field.

The second was a Saxo VTR, also crashed, you may notice a theme here.

Here are some shots from Autotrader of the van.

The van made it home, pretty filthy after 5 hours on the back of a transporter up to Scotland.

I ordered a set of 20/40mm lowering springs and side steps off fleebay.

I’ve also ordered a set of hub adaptors to convert from 4x108 to 5x108. This has allowed me to also order a set of Bola B8R 19” wheels in silver.

The wiper blades were useless, they skipped across the windscreen, I think they were the originals so I treated the van to a set of Boschautomotive Aero Twins. It’s a night and day difference and silent. I read once that if you live in a seasonal climate that has a lot of rain, wiper should be changed at the same time as tyres.

The van went in to have the lowering springs installed, while it was there I asked the garage to install the side steps too, here’s the results;

BEFORE/AFTER

It’s not a great drop but is a huge difference, the van is more poised and handling seems much sharper,, I’m pretty happy with the results.

While waiting for wheels, tyres and adaptors I decided to debadge the back end.

Unfortunately there was a tiny bit of corrosion under the Citroen chevron that I’ve ordered a touch up kit for to deal with it for the interim.

I installed some LED lights in the sidelights, numberplate lights and interior lights. I also installed some of the Osram Night Breaker Laser headlight bulbs which I appreciate don’t last as long as a generic bulb but they really are well worth the £20, they make an incredible difference, especially in full beam. So all yellow tinged bulbs have been replaced for cool/white light.

It’s like a morgue in here.

Hub adaptors, wheels and tyres are on! Finished photos when I’ve washed it!

Here’s a wee teaser while it was still on the lift;

Van is away in for some naughty, naughty front tints and a sun strip on Saturday.

Do those hub adaptors really have 3 bolts to mount them on the original hub/disc? That must induce a balance issue at speed mate. No 4th hole...seems crazy.

Nice wheels btw.

Also make sure your 'naughty, naughty' front tints are legal. Down here plod take great interest in pulling vehicles with anything less than 75% opacity. Either a fine or you pull 'em off at the roadside.
