Btw, does that 207 wheel feel a lot nicer in the hand when fitted? I've been watching some for ages - haven't gone ahead yet as waiting on a nice one that's not ridiculously expensive comes up. There are cheap ones but they're scabby.
Me too, although I’m slightly worried it’s going to be too low.
I’ve still not installed it, it’s been a bit manic at home with the newborn. I have scrubbed it ready for install however, it’s not that dissimilar to an E46 BMW wheel to be fair, marked improvement on the standard one. The rain is off today too so I could get it installed but I fear I may be going out for a “walk” haha.
With regards to the price, I agree, there are a lot of scabby looking ones around the £20 mark, or ones that just haven’t had great pictures taken of them. I personally paid £35 for a better one.

Plus £150 or £35 for nearly the same result, I know what I’d choose.

Yeah me too. 207. Don't fancy £150 for a different wheel.

While I was doing the wheel I figured I’d change the gear knob too. I see many people are installing eBay replicas of the most recent Berlingo gear knob but I understand they are very light so don’t have much throw in them.
I opted for this solid machined one off eBay hoping that it had some weight. Now, the reason I opted for one with a red R for the reverse indication is because I came from a 6 speed manual car to this 5 speed Van and 3 times I have put the van into REVERSE whilst driving but luckily not let the clutch back out after hearing the horrid crunching noise! It’s scary you can even do that to be honest, I guess that’s only because there’s no lift up or push down to engage reverse. Anyway, I figured the red R will be a good prompt for me whilst still getting used to the gearbox.
The old knob just pulled off. The new one came with 3 different sleeves which weren’t needed, I just tightened the grub screws to install. It worked out well as the original gear gaiter was worn where it folded against the old gear knob, I just folded it in a little further before attaching a new cable tie and now the wear is hidden and all looks well. The new knob is slightly lighter than the standard one, maybe a quarter or a third at max but out on the road is still really weighty and has a great throw at each gear change. Pretty happy.

You shouldn't be able to move the gearstick from the 5th position straight back into reverse, there's a mechanical block to stop that happening.
In order to go from 5th to reverse (not that you would ever want to) you should have to go someway across the neutral gate towards the 3rd & 4th position to bypass the block to allow access to reverse.

Yeah I was going to say the same. Can't go from 5th to reverse on mine either, it's blocked till.tou go to centre neutral first. I came from an Audi with a 6 speed and kept trying to go in 6th and it just stops in neutral, won't drop into reverse, it stops dead unless you let it return to centre.
Your shift mech must be faulty. Even if you don't let the clutch up, the wheels & gears are still turning the wrong way to select reverse. That would still lock up the wheels and box if it went in.

There’s definitely no mechanical block or stop, or at least a working one should there be. I can shift from 5th to Reverse. A search of the internet reveals you can do this with lots of Peugeot’s/Citroen’s, apparently first with the 206 in 2004 where there was no mechanical stop.
3 times I’ve done it, heard a awful grinding noise like struggling to get a gear in for me to then realise and drop back into 5th but I can fully throw the gearstick into the R, at speed, from 5th.
So the feeling is I shouldn’t be able to do that with a B9 Berlingo 2015?

Alright. Any idea what’s required/needed to fix it?
Starting to wonder about these Citroen’s haha. 38,000 miles on the van, I’ve got a broken drivers door check strap and now the gear gate....
