Hi guys
2006 Diesel 1.6L Manual 5 doors MULTSPACE DESIRE HDI (92) Estate M59
I recently acquired the Berlingo detailed above. As you can see, the key has been pretty much destroyed! works in all locks EXCEPT the driver's door - it inserts easy but shows no signs of turning! The lock may have been changed at some point and I don't have the proper key.
So, it seems my best option is to replace the barrel as, at present, I can't lock the car. Some little 'turd' has already stolen from it, luckily my RING cameras recorded him and I caught him 2 days later.
Can some one point me to the correct lock barrell so I don't end up buying the wrong one.
Many thanks
John

Eh, just take the one from the door on the opposite side...
There should be a plastic cover on the edge of the door. Remove that, and you should be able to remove the locking plate. Be careful not to lose anything inside the door, though...

Won't that just move the problem to the other side?
Thanks for the warning

Yes, but if you have central locking that shouldn't matter...

Job done and it was easy

The only issue was the plastic cover was so tight and brittle it nearly got destroyed.
Thanks for all the help guys, I appreciate it.
