After seeing the link to change the bulbs in the torch to LEDs I thought I'd give it a go as the illumination with the supplied bulbs is rubbish.
Shop didn't have the LED for the top of the torch, the one which operates with the switch.
Got LED for the part of the torch which operates when the boot is opened.
Didn't work at first due to polarity around the wrong way, reversed it and it works but it flashes like a strobe any ideas please ?
Thanks

I put a led in the top part of the torch but couldn't open the lens of the other part to put a led in there.

just use a thin blade/screwdriver around the edge of the long plastic window and it just pops off.
Thanks for the eBay link but prefer to use a shop..

Got the lens off and fitted a led and no flashing , maybe your LED that's dodgy ?

Got a refund on the LEDs, they have no idea why it is flashing.
Whether the flashing LED has caused it but now my heater fan has stopped working on all speeds.
Is it a coincidence ?

Which years come with the boot torch? Not sure if mine should have one.

It was an optional extra, not a year thing as far as I know.
"Enterprise" vans have them.

Very unlikely. You've probably blown a fuse or the fan resistor has packed up in the dash.

Not necessarily so. Ours didn't. But there is the 'ciggy socket thingy' in the back offside.
