for all you who are needing to replace your gear knobs in future !!replaced mine yesterday!!no need for hacksaws,craft knives ,twisting or pulling !!! first unclip the gaiter and pull it up exposing gearstick and bottom of gearknob ,get two sturdy screwdrivers,(or six inch nails)place one infront of gearstick and one at back of gearstick,handles in opposite directions,place underneath gear knob ,grab with both hands,the handles and opposing screwdriver shaft and pull up!!easy peasy lemon squeesy,hope this helps you all
