Doorlock Sylinder
#1
After 6 years of not using the key in the lock to open the door. the cylinder is jammed or corroded.. I have tried to dunk it in penetrating oil, the key fits and seats in the lock. but will not turn.  Its 100euro for a new lock cylinder, but then i have a different set of keys to the door.

i have tried aliexpress and could not find the correct lock.

i have orderd a new set of wafers to repin the new/scrapyard lock

Any ideas before buying a used lock?
or do any one know how to take out the internals.?

Suggest give a good long soaking in white wine vinegar then gently try and turn the key in the barrel every so often.

Soaking in strong vinegar is the best suggestion, it works for all manner of corrosion. Only needs to be overnight, then rinse thoroughly and lightly oil with duck oil or some other waterproofing spray.
