Instrument Panel Lighting
#1
Does any know if it is possible to arrange for the speedo panel lighting to be on continuously once the ignition has been turned on using either Diagbox or another method?  With the lights off I find it rather difficult to read the display in certain external lighting conditions.  This applies to both of our vehicles.

There are lighting options for the dash and lights mate. I find it impossible to read too with it off. Only reason I didn't just enable the dash lights to always be on, is that in town under street lighting you can forget to put the lights on since the dash is lit.

I drive with the light switch in the sidelights position at all times. That way the dash and sidelights come on automatically when I start the engine.

But it is possible to set it any way you want in DiagBox.

Cheers, mate. Not a problem with the van (like wot u have) but on the XTR I have the DRLs which, of course, switch off when the side lights are turned on and I prefer to have a brighter light during the day.

Yeah good point. I think it's under customer configuration options or in the BSI from memory.

Here P,

Attached PDF shows a map of all options for DiagBox config menus. Not all config options will be possible for all vehicles of course.

Made it for you bud, hope it helps.

Cheers, S. Thanks very much indeed. My Citroen Used Car Warranty runs out at the end of Feb so I will have a play after that. Don't want to give 'em the old "warranty void as parameters played with" do we!

When I got my airdream VTR B'lingo new in 2014 I asked about this on the forum but folk said it could confuse drivers who had not turned the lights on. When it had its first service I asked the Citroen dealer if he could change the setting so the dash lights were on when engine running but his reaction was a sharp intake of breath, raised eyebrows and vigorous shaking of his head. He didn't think it was possible to have DRLs on at the same time. So I gave up. Only done 80 miles in the last year due to lockdowns but give it a fast run out every few weeks.
